Plans are made and they change – that’s the only thing constant about them. In 2021 I was leaving Olympic National Park when I heard about closures to the highways accessing North Cascades National Park due to forest-fires. I called my hotel – they told me they’d be evacuating and I pivoted to head down to Oregon. It worked out – the pictures I produced there were exquisite.
